Auto-Tune Chorale
Jumping off from my last Auto-Tune foray, I decided to use the effect for all the “wrong” reasons. Messing around with it, I was trying to turn it into an instrument itself. The concept with Auto-Tune here is that you can completely control the output note. If I only allow a “c” to be output, no matter what the input note may be, it will always be a c note. Likewise, if I only select a C major scale on the Auto-Tune plugin, all the notes that come from the plugin will be in the C major scale, no matter what notes I sing into it.
So for this experimentation, I selected a harmonic minor scale and just started singing. I looped a basic bass line and then piled a few tracks on top, and then a few more. It’s weird.

Has a very baroque feel. Organ like and contrapuntal. I like it.

Tim, yeah, it’s like Bach on Pro-Tools acid.
